Haro Bikes: by riders for riders

From the inventor of freestyle BMX to a maker of playful mountain bikes and gravel bikes: find out what Haro stands for and which models you can find in our shop.

The history of Haro

Bob Haro is known as the “Godfather of Freestyle”. In the late 1970s, with one of the first freestyle teams, he brought tricks to BMX that had never been seen before, and in 1978 he founded his own brand in California.

In 1981 he worked as a stunt rider on the film E.T. and designed the first frame built specifically for freestyle. It was launched in 1982 as the Haro Freestyler. This DNA is still in the bikes today: playful, robust and developed by people who ride themselves. Today Haro builds mountain bikes, gravel bikes and e-bikes as well as BMX.

What defines Haro

BMX DNA

You can feel the freestyle roots: the bikes are playful, easy to pop into the air and fun even on flat trails.

Sensible specs

Haro relies on proven components such as Shimano XT and GRX, Marzocchi or FOX and powerful 4-piston brakes instead of expensive gimmicks.

Mullet on the Greer

29 inch at the front for stability and rollover, 27.5 inch at the rear for agility and more room above the rear wheel.

Storage in the Buzzard

The Buzzard Carbon has a compartment in the down tube for tools, tube and snacks, so the saddle bag can stay at home.
