The Weekender Nomad is Fairdale’s answer to the question of what a bike really needs to do: commute in the morning, hit the gravel in the afternoon and head out with luggage at the weekend. Steel, simple technology and a relaxed ride feel – with no compromises on everyday practicality.
Model description
Frame and fork are made from 100% chromoly. That means a calm, comfortable ride and the kind of toughness that shrugs off years of luggage, potholes and farm tracks. Rack and fender mounts turn the Nomad into a commuter, tourer or bikepacking rig – whatever the day calls for.
Shifting is handled by SRAM Apex 1 with an 11–42 cassette: a simple 1×11 drivetrain with enough range for steep ramps and fast stretches. The mechanical Avid BB7 Road disc brakes bite reliably and can be adjusted on the road without special tools. Wheel size is matched to frame size: XS and S roll on 650b with 27.5 × 1.65" Maxxis Overdrive tires, sizes M to XL on 700c with 40 mm Maxxis Rambler tires. The XS and S frames are not compatible with 700c wheels.
